RIO SAMBADROME

Rio Sambadrome is divided into 13 sectors. The value of carnival tickets in each sector depends on the position and views of the boulevard. The sambadrome has 2 sides, The odd sectors on one side and the pair side in the other side. The numbers increase towards the end of the avenue.

All sectors consist of stands, stalls and cabins. The friezes are in front of the stands, taking their tail from A, closer to the strip parade Sambadrome. The cabins are located between the sectors, and also above the stalls, just behind the D line, providing a great view of the parade area.

Only the industry represents 9, popularly known as Tourism Sector or noble sector, numbered offers places, all other stands are not numbered. Sector 09 has a great view. Price of tickets for this sector is higher because it is more organized, and has its place marked all night, unlike other media.

How to Get in Sambadrome

You can also get there by metro, bus or just take a taxi. Remember that these means of transport will go a distance from the Sambadrome will require some time to walk.

Subway
It works in the days of Carnival until 11pm on Tuesday, with intervals of 10 minutes. It’s fast, but full in the days of Carnival. Pair Sector
The best access to the sectors is even the Praça Onze station. Once outside the station, turn right twice and then move on. For sectors 10 and 12 take the Rua do Carmo Neto and walk along Av. Sa Salvador. You will see the Sambadrome quickly.

Odd sectors

Location
The Sambadrome is located in the region known as the cradle of the samba. It starts at Avenida Presidente Vargas, near Praça Quinze and ends at Rua Frei Taza. The great plaza at the end of the avenue is crowned by an immense and memorable concrete arch, called the Apotheosis Square. The avenue was named Professor Darcy Ribeiro, considering that it was he who conceived the parades in a fixed structure, because the structures met previously for the event. It is a track about 700 meters long.

Facilities
There are bars with food and drinks, bathrooms in each sector Sambadrome. In addition, everyone has access, the free zone, there is the space behind the tribunes in the Sambadrome, where restaurants, ice cream shops, souvenir shops and more bathrooms.

Safety
Sambadrome is considered the safest place in South America during Carnival. The streets around the stadium get all blocked and only registered vans, car or bus can get close to the entrance. There is a very high concentration of international celebrities, politicians and members of real families in the crowd. The Sambadrome is surrounded by huge boxes in which none can pass without being searched for commercial and security reasons.
